Deathly Hallows Being Made Into Two Films

Written by Garion on March 14th, 2008 in Movies.

Reading that the last Harry Potter movie The Deathly Hallows was being split into two movies wasn’t a great surprise, I had heard previous rumors awhile backs that this could be happening.

The first installment is due for release in Autumn 2010 and the second part scheduled for summer 2011. It seems like they will both be very good movie years with the expected release of The Hobbit movies also. I have been a big fan of both Harry Potter and The Lord of the Rings.

Like both The Order Of The Phoenix and the Half Blood Prince we will again see David Yates directing the final movies.

He said “I consider it a great privilege to continue to bring Jo’s extraordinary world to the screen, and to be the director to complete this epic and exhilarating journey”.

The first five movies have made $4.5 billion (£2.2 billion) worldwide, making the Harry Potter film franchise the biggest in box office history, surpassing both James Bond and Star Wars.

Come And Enjoy Sports Betting For Free

Written by Garion on January 28th, 2008 in Sport, Sites, Cash.

I have always enjoyed sports whether playing, betting or watching so when I came across a site that gives free money to bet on sports I couldn’t resist taking a closer look.

The site CentSports may not look much from the front page but if you are sports betting fan I recommend you take a further look into the site. You maybe wondering about the free betting money, well the site will give you 10 cents to start betting with and this 10 cents is always available if you loose all your money.

Ok so how do you earn real money, well you bet on the various sporting events using your 10 cents to begin with then you can increase the size of your bets as you become successful. At this moment the events are United States matches but very soon more sports are being included such as Soccer and Tennis to name a couple.

When you reach $10.00 you can request a payout, ok so you maybe thinking it sounds good but will they actually pay and my answer to that is yes. I made a request last week and was paid within 24 hours, it took me roughly 10 days and 18 bets to reach payout but how quick you reach payout depends on the success of your bets.

Also check out a new blog dedicated to the site.

Death of the Doughboy

Written by Garion on January 14th, 2008 in Funny.

It is a sad day.

Please join me in remembering a great icon of the entertainment
community. The Pillsbury Doughboy died yesterday of a yeast infection
and trauma complications from repeated pokes in the belly. He was 71.

Doughboy was buried in a lightly greased coffin. Dozens of celebrities
turned out to pay their respects, including Mrs. Butterworth, Hungry
Jack, the California Raisins, Betty Crocker, the Hostess Twinkies, and
Captain Crunch. The grave site was piled high with flours.

Aunt Jemima delivered the eulogy and lovingly described Doughboy as a
man who never knew how much he was kneaded.

Doughboy rose quickly in show business, but his later life was filled
with turnovers. He was not considered a very smart cookie, wasting much
of his dough on half-baked schemes. Despite being a little flaky at
times he still was a crusty old man and was considered a positive roll
model for millions.

Doughboy is survived by his wife Play Dough, two children, John Dough
and Jane Dough, plus they had one in the oven. He is also survived by
his elderly father, Pop Tart.

The funeral was held at 3:50 for about 20 minutes.

Please rise to the occasion, in memory of Doughboy, and share this
notice with some one who may be having a crumby day and kneads it.

Over A Million PS3 Sold During Christmas Period

Written by Garion on January 7th, 2008 in Technology.

Sony released their Christmas figures and reported selling over 1.2 million PS3 units in the United States during the Christmas period. The period stated is between the 23rd November and 31st December.

I’m sure a lot of people brought those as they were unable to get close to any Nintendo Wii’s at Christmas, as you know I got a XBox 360 due to the problem. Though I am actually glad it was so difficult to get the Wii as the XBox 360 has become extremely popular in the house for the whole family. Halo 3 on live has been a lot of fun, it’s soon going to be time to get a few more games my youngest has told me what we need to buy already. He needs these games is how he put it and he tells me I can play the XBox when he isn’t home.

Goodbye To Netscape Navigator

Written by Garion on December 28th, 2007 in Technology.

It will soon be time to say goodbye to the Netscape Navigator browser, the now AOL owned browser will no longer be supported from February 1st 2008. For those that remember the browser was used by more than 90% of the web population in the mid 1990s but now its used by less than 1%.

The main demise of the browser came when AOL who bought Netscape in 1998 made most of the development team redundant in 2003. Many of the staff joined the Mozilla Foundation who develop the Firefox browser, the main competitor to Microsoft’s Internet Explorer. Firefox currently has approximately 16% of the browser market.

A new version of Internet Explorer is due for launch in 2008 and Firefox’s third version is currently in beta test stage.

17 Wii’s Per Second

Written by Garion on December 26th, 2007 in Technology.

Now I know where all the Nintendo Wii’s went this Christmas, Amazon are reporting that when the system was available they were selling 17 per second. Now that sounds like a lot I wonder how many days they had them available and in what time period, as I found them hard to get hold of from as early as November.

If you read my earlier posts on the topic you know I have up on the idea and went for the XBox 360 which has gone down very well.

The Queen And YouTube

Written by Garion on December 24th, 2007 in News.

I came across this the other day and actually will enjoy viewing some Royal videoclips, being English I am a loyal subject of The Queen and plan to spend some time watching the online videos. Though as I live in the US it makes it harder to see or listen to the Queen’s Speech but this year I will be able to view it in my own time via her channel on YouTube.

The channel seems very popular with over 11,800 channel subscribers and over half a million channel views. So to all those wanting to see the Queen’s Speech you will be able to view it on YouTube at around 3.00pm GMT.
